Why is my Toyota Estima Lucida overheating?
Recently when driving on the motorway or at speed the car has overheated. When the car was allowed to cool for a few minutes it works fine again! My mechanic overhauled the cooling system and replaced the thermostat but the overheating re-occurred. The water pump seems to be working ok and his next effort will be to replace the radiator.
Why is the oil coming out on my Estima Lucida?
Having trouble starting in the mornings. How do I swivel the chairs around? Oil is coming out on the OIL Dip Stick!
How can you tell if your Toyota has an oil leak?
Pinpointing these leaks can be a problem if the leak has been active for any amount of time, because there will be oil everywhere inside the belt covers. The amount of oil should be a clue to the source, as this is about the only “pressurized” oil source on the front of the engine.
Is the water pump on my Estima Lucida working?
The water pump seems to be working ok and his next effort will be to replace the radiator. At this stage it’s getting expensive as the heating radiator was leaking and had to be replaced which required the dashboard to be removed (yuk). If anybody out there has had similar problems and resolved them please let me know.

How much does a Toyota Estima Lucida cost?
SADS (£50 a pair and half a day of sweating) – MPV2. Cracked cylinder head (£700’ish for replacement; head gaskets are extra and about the same for fitting. Considering these MPV’s can be had for around £1000, it writes the vehicle off in my opinion) – MPV2.
