Here are the tests I’ve done so far fuel pressure test, fuel pressure 160psi while running, then shut off for 20 min and fuel pressure was at 155 PSI. Dry Compression test on all 8 cylinders between 150-160 psi.

There are three lines to the tank. 3/8, 5/16, and 1/4 inch. 3/8 is the supply line. Fuel is pumped through this line from the tank to the fuel metering body. (No TBI on a 97 Vortec). The 5/16 returns excess fuel from the metering body back to the tank. The 1/4 line is the vent line.

Why is my Chevy Suburban bogging down on hard acceleration?
I have a 97 Suburban 5.7, 2wd. On hard acceleration it is bogging down like there is to much air, because sometimes it backfires. Or a plugged exhaust. I replaced the fuel pump-because it was bad in July.
