Are there any problems with the Polaris Ranger 800?
The 2011/2012 800s seem to be plagued with problems. Just do a search. Polaris cheeped-out after the initial 2010 introduction. Crappy axles, poor wiring, weak fuel-pumps, ect. all in a cost-cutting effort.
How old is the warranty on a Polaris Ranger?
They are there for money not the initial sale so every little thing they can charge you for in repairs and service they’re gonna do it. Just purchase a 2013 800 with the 5 year extended warranty. A couple clcose friends also have Polarises with extended warranties. Their machines are 3 and 4 years old respectively.
How many Polaris Ranger are there in the world?
There are four of them in our acreage community all 2012’s and we go on long rides every week and nobody has had any issues, and we have put them through some serious terrain, not to mention the work we do with them. I hope that Polaris comes through for you.

What to do if your Polaris EFI goes bad?
Look for damaged insulation that will short the spark to ground before it gets to the plug, check it for continuity and resistance with an ohmmeter. Check the wiring to the coil for damage. Check the wiring harness and connectors. Odds are you’ll find something simple to repair.
Why is there no spark on my Polaris 800?
If you have spark and replacing the plug doesn’t fix the problem it’s time for a compression test, you may have some mechanical issue or a fuel issue to that cylinder (bad/clogged injector?). If there is no spark, check the plug wire.
