Why does my Fiat Ducato motorhome not start?
If not, the battery is either completely flat, u/s, or a connection on the battery is loose. ( We had the last one on one of our M/H). If the board lights up wait a few seconds and try to start. Does the engine turn over but not start? Possibly a fuel problem or the tank is empty.
Can a Ducato starter motor have a short wire?
That sounds like an easy diagnosis theres really only one wire that could sustain a short like that – to the starter motor. You can get a nasty short in the alternator too but it alternator should pop a fuse. The garage have a brand new Ducato they are swapping bits out of to try and get mine going.
What does it mean when a car won’t start?
It is showing an EDC fault and won’t start. They have checked the wiring loom behind the passenger headlight and are still trying to trace the fault. Can anyone here point to anything that would be worth checking in this case?

How can I start my Ducato motorhome without a key?
The 3 pin loom plug has wires from ignition, earth and KCU. Located the ign wire (live with key on), connect this to the fuel solenoid. The KCU box under the dash can be disconnected. Note: vehicle security has now been compromised, the van can now be started without a coded key.
